Digital Learning Institute Speaker: Crafting My Portfolio: Tips, Tricks and Behind the Scenes

I was invited to speak at the DLI’s Live Bootcamp on ePortfolios and Careers on the 27th of May 2025. It was a live talk that ran for an hour and was part of a student bootcamp. My talk focused on how I created my portfolio, the ideas behind it, how I built it, and advice for others who were looking to create one of their own.

It was such a wonderful experience, and I met so many lovely and enthusiastic students.

  • Why I created a portfolio and how I approached its structure
  • The types of artefacts I chose to include
  • Tips for clearly explaining your work and making it meaningful to others

We also ran a live poll and Q&A to encourage discussion and reflection around common challenges, such as how to get started and how to keep motivated.
